I thought the greatest challenge of B&W photography
would be with subjects that are  world renowned for
their artistic value.  It was a safe bet that these
subjects would be rich in composition,  lines,  texture,
contrasts and mood. When and where better to find
them than along the streets and avenues of  Central
Manhattan in the bitter cold of January.  While looking
at these thumbnails be sure to click on them to get a
larger view.   By  clicking on the blue  underlined text
(Links) you will be brought to websites with further
information on the subjects photographed.
