We are a group of artists who have made a great impact on
arts in the area and on each other.  We share your love of art -
join us.  We meet every Friday at Village V Hilltop Hall.
Visit to ask any question on art or to express your interest in
joining our Guild.  Why not have your portrait
professionally done by several of our artists.  All paintings
are free to you for posing an hour or so.  See our poster ad in
the SUN for details. We are involved in all kinds of activities
during our get-togethers: paint-alongs, critiques, workshops
and demos by artists locally, nationally and internationally
known. The demos and workshops are either free or carry a
small fee.  We have still-life setups on the second Friday of
each month.  Books and videos from our instructional library
are yours to take home, study, and RETURN.

Our business meetings held every other month are about
various subjects: exhibits, shows, travel plans, annual picnic
and Christmas luncheon.  The next business meeting is
January 27 at 10:00AM. The Crestwood Garden Club always
makes room for us on their bus trips and occasionally we
plan a spontaneous carpool trip to a local art museum or
event.  Our Christmas luncheon was held at 3B’s Bistro in
Lakehurst on December 2; there were lots of laughs, good
food and holiday wishes.  Thanks to Pat Johnson for putting
this fun time together.

The Guild’s paintings are on view in the library of Hilltop
Hall and other locations in the area. If you are a business
owner and would like our artwork enhancing your office or
store, contact us at Hilltop and we will arrange an ongoing or
one-time show.  The Silent Auction at the Manchester
Library for the benefit of The Friends of the Library was a big
success.  Edie Hindermann and Fran Reeve spearheaded the
second annual event.  They are both retiring from the Art
Committee of the Friends and will be missed.  Photos by
both Fran & Edie are shown in the Ocean First Bank 2012
Community Calendar.  Edie’s “Winter Day” and Fran’s
“Walkway to the Sky” are two of the twelve lovely photos
showing the off-the-road, peaceful sides of life in the ocean
counties of New Jersey.

Alice Snyder brings her amazing sculptures to the Lacey
Library in February.  Alice constructs her sculptures out of
every day objects AND not-so-everyday objects – you really
have to see this one – so creative!  Mary Phillips has been
asked to exhibit her beautiful pastels in the main library in
Toms River in February.  Reception details on both
February shows to follow. Mary will also be at the Point
Pleasant Library in August. Barbara Lunardi’s paintings are
on display in the Hilltop Village V clubhouse library.
Anthony Zaremba is involved in
“Sketchbook Project Tour 2012”.  Similar to a concert tour
(but with sketchbooks), thousands will be exhibited at
galleries and museums across the United States, Canada,
England and Australia.  After the tour the sketchbooks will
be entered into a permanent collection at the Brooklyn Art
Museum library where they will be available for public view.
Anthony’s sketchbook, with the theme “The Last of the
People I Know” can be previewed at http://anthonyzaremba.
com/UpcomingExhibitions.html.  More information on the
tour can be found at http://www.arthousecoop.
