It gained broad usage in the book, "Generations", written
by
William Strauss and Neil Howe in 1991.  Successive
generations include the "Silent Generation" and the "Boom
Generation."  All three groups can be found in growing
numbers in zip code 08759.

Al Pujol,a member of the "GI Generation," is a retiree
who is living a full life. Born in New York City in 1922, he
developed an early love for classical music.  When America
entered World War II, he was ninteen and served in the
Army. On June 6, 1944, along with so many other young
men, he clambered down a cargo net into a wildly pitching
LCT.  Utah Beach is not a name out of history book to him,
but a vivid, terrifying memory.

After the war,the "GI Bill" helped Al attend City College
of New York, now known as
CUNY.  He studied textiles. As
